Fairfax Release Contacts

Fairfax County Released Inmates is a private reference site, not a government office. We cannot confirm custody, release anyone, post bond, or retrieve an official record.

Official Records and Status Contacts

Choose the office that created the record. The Sheriff handles the local ADC release transaction. Courts hold the order behind bond, sentence, or disposition. VADOC handles state custody and supervision, while VINE and local victim services provide notification channels.

The following routes can help narrow the request:

  • For a named released person or release record, the home page covers the county search path and Sheriff records request.
  • For active community supervision, use Probation & Parole and contact the agency named in the order.
  • Because Fairfax publishes no verified recent-release feed, Jail Releases: 24 Hours explains the official phone and records fallback.
  • For a calculated date or notification, see Projected Release and VINELink Inmate Search.
  • For a facility-specific status, use the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center or Alternative Incarceration Branch page listed below.
  • For a state-responsible prisoner, search the VADOC inmate and supervisee locator, then contact the responsible institution or district.
  • For supported federal or immigration custody, use the Bureau of Prisons or ICE locator rather than a Fairfax jail record alone.
